Long Branch Partners in Ministry:

Our Mission and Outreach Ministry & Board of Deacons is pleased to announce that our church will come alongside the Long Branch New Church Plant to give birth to a new Reformed Church at the Jersey Shore. The ethnic diversity of Long Branch and its unchurched population makes this a perfect location to plant a new church.  About a year and a half ago, Pastor Lou was appointed the president of the Long Branch New Church Plant Board of Trustees.  With the efforts of the BOT, our New Brunswick Classis has called Rev. Marisol Ferrer Malloy to plant a new church at the former Long Branch Reformed Church site.  As partners with them we will support them in ways that will assist Rev. Marisol in doing her work.
Thank you for your support and please remember to pray daily asking God to equip Marisol, the BOT, and us as a partner church to bring many people into a relationship with Jesus Christ and for the Kingdom to come to Long Branch!

Work Day Away:

The North Branch Reformed Church is holding a work day at FIRST at Long Branch on Saturday, August 25th and we are asked to join them with rolled up sleeves and eager spirits for work alongside them: cleaning, painting, and fixing things up.

Military Honorees:

The Mission and Outreach Committee has chosen Megan and Zek Owrey to be our military family honorees for June, July and August. Cards and notes can be sent to Sergeants Zek & Megan Owrey, 186 Cardinal Way, San Clemente, CA 92672

Current Events in the Christian Faith:

Interested in knowing more about the role of God and Christian living in the world today?  Come join us Tuesday evenings starting September 11th at 7:00 pm for a five week study, looking at current events and the Christian response to them. Our leader will be Dan Ayers.

Tuesday Morning Bible Study:

Starting on September 25th Pastor Lou will begin a new class studying Paul’s First Letter to Timothy.  Paul writes young Timothy to encourage him to train new leaders in the faith who will pass the baton of the faith to the next generation. This thrilling book of the Bible has a great deal of practical application for today’s living. If you have never studied the Bible or are an expert in Holy Scriptures you will feel at home in this informal time of coffe and conversation.

Kingdom Goal Number 1
Creating a Space That Can Accommodate People With Varying Abilities

Each week for the next several months we will be providing an update as the progress of our Renovation Project
and Capital Campaign

Phase 2, which is the creation of the new Fellowship Hall behind the Sanctuary is
underway. The new stairs are in place. The portico is taking shape. Windows have been replaced. The construction of the ramp is on-going.
Rough plumbing in the new bathrooms is complete. The electrical work is underway. Things are really coming together. We will provide weekly
updates as the renovation progresses.

Access to the building will now be through the doors closest to the parking lot,
near the new offices. A new key lock is installed. If you have an access code for the lock it will not change. Access to the Sanctuary will be through the red doors. The area of our new fellowship hall is not accessible. The Fellowship Hall bathrooms and a handicap port a potty are available for use. Access to the Fellowship Hall
bathrooms will be via the stairwell in the Narthex or through the exterior basement doors. The interior stairwell is not available due to the construction. We ask
everyone to not attempt to enter the construction area for your safety.

We ask for your patience as we go through the construction process. We will also provide updates through our Facebook page. Sunday Worship will not be impacted.

Due to the ongoing construction office hours may change during the course of the week. We suggest that you call the office prior to visiting. Normal operations will resume at the conclusion of the Renovation Project.

The Capital Campaign letters were mailed. There are additional copies of the letter and donation envelopes on the back table. We have received $58,085 to date.

Fellowship Hour:

Fall is fast approaching and we will begin our coffee hour
schedule on September 9th.   Several of the folks who have been providing our after service treats are not able to continue SO WE NEED YOU TO VOLUNTEER to step forward. Please see Beth Comandini or call at 908-397-5638 by September.   Thank you we look forward to this time of Fellowship in our new

Food Pantry.

The Manasquan Food Pantry, works hard to feed over 400 food-insecure families in the community. Whether it’s by advocating and raising awareness, volunteering or donating, you can find the way that’s right for you to make a difference contact Richard Speiser at

Pastor Lou will be on vacation starting today following Worship through September 4th. He will be unable to respond to emails or text messages. If you have a question or concern contact Karen Riehs at 732-995-6705 or email Karen or another member of Consistory will be able to assist you.

Network Upgrades:
To increase network security we now have 3 separate
networks. There is one network for office operations, one for preschool, and a guest network that will be used by those who need network access while at the Church. The new network is CIB GUEST. Please see Karen Riehs or an usher for the
password. We are changing the password to the CIB-NET network tomorrow so you will no longer have access to that network.
