Youth Group: Youth Group each Friday from 7 to 8 pm. Our youth 6th grade and up meet for fun, food, games, and an awesome object lesson about living the best way possible by following Jesus! Join Freddie, Mike, Frankie and P. Lou. Youth Group resumes this Friday, January 19th. On Friday, January 26th we will have a Youth and Parent Spaghetti Dinner at 6:30 pm. All youth and their parents are invited to come share a meal together and embark on a wonderful time of planning and fellowship.

Tuesday Morning Bible Study, The Names of God: Our Tuesday Morning Bible Study, The Names of God resumes on January 16th at 10:00 am with p. 139, lesson #29, “Child”.

Vacation Bible School (VBS): There’s a chill in the air but it is time to begin planning VBS for the summer. Our experience last year was so awesome and we want to build on that for this summer. If you are interested in helping plan, coordinate, or assist with VBS there will be a meeting immediately following fellowship on Sunday, January 28th.

The Season of Epiphany:
The green and gold candle display symbolizes the arrival of the Magi from the East who bring to Jesus gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. After being in the presence of Jesus they return home by a different “way”. May we all be changed in His presence and like the Magi go out and share the Light of Christ.

Puerto Rico Missions Opportunities:
Last week I flew to Puerto Rico to meet up with a team from 3 states serving in the town of Vega Baja. While there we began the building process for several homes and a church, while also bringing down much needed supplies. We hope you will continue in prayer as we help encourage and support this devastated area.

Also, please pray if God is calling you to serve on the next mission trip to Puerto Rico. Here are some details:
Date: March 3rd through 10th, 2018
Cost: $465 a person includes airfare, food and housing.
Tasks: Same as is listed above
There will be a brief orientation meeting on Sunday, January 14th  in the
Ragsdale Room.
Thanks, Freddie

January and February Mission of the Month: Our missionaries Katie and Adam Quinn who are serving in the Canary Islands

Military Support:
Our military honoree for January and February is Matthew VanPelt. Please pray for him and send notes of encouragement, gratitude, and support to Matthew Van Pelt, 4604 Riverwalk Place, Fayetteville, NC 28311.

Alternative Gift Fair: The 2017 Alternative Gift Fair generated $6,120 for our six chosen charities. Thank you for your generous support again this year.

*** Wednesday Night Alive! Update ***
